I am not sure if the title fits my question:

I have got a USB 5.1 channel converter, and its feature as it claims includes 23 kinds of acoistic mode and 16 kinds of rythm mode...

As I have just installed a sound blaster, this USB 5.1 channel converter and its software have to be removed; but after the unistallation, I notice that some of the sound output becomes poor and has scratch... :hammer3:

I wonder if the sound blaster, which supports up to 7.1 channels, is worse than the USB 5.1 channel converter.

Sound Blaster: brought just 3 days ago, costing (US$90)
5.1 converter: brought 3 months ago, costing (US$20)

May I ask for the URL for me to download the 23 kinds of acoistic mode and 16 kinds of rythm mode?

You would have to ask the maker of the Soundblaster, I suppose. Problems with sound can be from any number of sources, and hard to pin down remotely.

I have sent email to them; but what I received so far is a thank you email automatically generated by the server! :hammer3:

Luckily the problem is solved by turning off the EAX Controller!

btw, when I looked at the hardware manager, I found that there was a yellow question mark at the "multimedia audio signal controller" (Chinese to ENG translation, I hope it's right).

What is it function?
What can be done to slove the problem?

It's being seen as not properly installed, so it likely needs drivers.

I am sorry, but I am not sure what you were referring to:
physical installation or the software part?

Software, I should think. (drivers are software)
If it was not inserted properly, it would probably not be seen at all by the system, or might prevent the computer from starting.

So, will this unproperly installed application alter the sound quality?

I don't know why the sound blaster only supports 3D games and music tracks, but not for 2D games.

The sound quality is really bad for 2D games.

The sound blaster can support up to 7.1 channel, but I am now only owning the 2.1 channel stereo.
I wonder if this is the reason why there is scratch in the sound output when I am in 2D gaming!

It's entirely possible that the problem is with the drivers, yes. It's quite hard to diagnose sound problems when you're not at the actual computer, so I'm not sure what more can be done from here...

I have found the suitable name for it " Multimedia Audio Device ".

Some posts from Yahoo Search Engine suggested that the driver is for the audio card integrated with the motherboard.

I don't know if these posts can be trusted and I have got two discs: one SB driver and one for internal audio card, which one of them can fix the problem is really a big problem!

btw, how can I know the details for the motherboard so that I can download the latest version of audio driver

The problem is solved!!

The yellow signal has disappeared!

A new driver appears under the lists of Audio, games...
'SoundMax Integrated DigitalAudio'

How's the sound now?
No difference!
The problem still exists!

Should I buy a 5.1 stereo to replace the 2.1 ?
