I have got a HP printer of model 930C.
Yesterday, I received 4 packs of black ink for HP Deskjet as one of the presents. They should at least cost a hundred dollar (US) totally.

But then, I found that the four black inks are for use on 920C and 940C models.

Maybe, it would be environmentally unfriendly to just throw them into the rubbish bin; so I just unsealed one of them and plugged into the printer, and tried to print a photo. Hahaha... It just worked for me...

Do you think this improper use of black ink will cause Blue Screen of Death?
Please help if you could!

No, it won't affect your operating system. The worst that could happen is that it would mess up your printer, or fail to work. You might also not be informed when the ink is running out, due to the different cartridge.
Interestingly, at the HP site, the 930c is one of the only versions that don't accept the 920/40c carts. The 920 and 940 are interchangeable...just not the 930c. How annoying.

NOTE
You should not believe the warning about low ink most of the time. Most inkjets report low ink long before it actually affects printing, possibly to get you to buy before you actually need it.
