Have you only got one OS in the PC?
Yes, Win98 doesn't support many programs, but XP does!
I have just installed Real Player Alternative in my Win98, which has occupied 30MB of the HDD space. I have uninstalled Real Player, as it always tries to reconnect my PC to the WWW, even though I have discconect from Internet!
So annoying! :hammer3:

Can Windows and Linux exist in the same PC?
I have tried to install Windows XP in Partition A and Linux for Partition B, but then I found that Linux has overwritten all data in Partition A!
Which of the OSs should I install first?

I currently have a triple boot spanned across two hard drives, one OS of which is Windows 2000.
Typically, Windows is the easiest to install first, but it can be done either way. It's actually more common for Windows to mess with the other partition, than what happened to you. What Linux distribution were you installing?

Yes, you are right! It's quite common for Windows to mess with the other partition, for example when Microsoft users are trying to install more than one OS in a HDD.
This's my past experience:
The HDD has three partitions (C, D, E), where E has got WinXP installed.
I could say that I was a fool to install Win2k into Partition D!
I don't know that would make the WinXp totally destroyed!
The Win2k had eaten up the WinXP after I reboot the PC.
Initially, before I started the trial, I thought that should be safe for WinXP, as the Win2k was to be installed into another Partition; but as you know, it was totally wrong!

I have just tried RedHat Linux 8.
Tutor said that Linux 8 is still vulnerable to Brute-force attack for guessing User Login Password; which is completely impossible in Linux 9.
Linux is just for ultimate PC user... not for me...
