Bear, since I've got you close (sort of), here's another quickie...

When I cut n' paste lyrics from the web, even if they'e not displayed on their web-page in 'boxes' (or borders) when I paste them into a Word document, they show up as having borders, or being in boxes, as if I'd made a table and put each line in boxes...

I just copied "Little Red Riding Hood (Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs) to work on my guitar, and I'd like to know if there's a way built into Windows to delete these borders without retyping the whole verses....

Trivial, but hey,...cheap thrills are the best...

You're the best, Bear...

You should be able to avoid it by copying, then instead of simply CTRL-V or "insert" and so on, open up the edit menu in Word, and look for "paste special".

"Paste special", huh? I'll refrain from commenting...(I think I spend too much time around kids these days...) I'll give it a shot...

It's funny when I think of all the years I learned songs from cassettes and LPs, playing and playing the same song over and over, trying to learn the lyrics...
...now one just goes to Tabmonster or Chordie, and, like magic, there it is...

Kids today have NO idea how easy they have it...

Thanx, Bear... I'll try it the next song I download...

Any good songs with a Bear in them? :P

Nah, no bears. One of my favorites I used to play with a buddy was "The man's too strong" from Dire Straits. We sat and worked that out one night while camping, and had a ball breaking into it in the middle of jams in later years...among others.
He was quite good, I did my best. ;)

Ooh...and Seagull from Paul Rogers. I had another guitar buddy that could play that and anything else you wanted. One of my favorite songs to this day.

'Seagull'? I can vaguely remember that one...I can hear a little of the chorus as I type this, but I haven't heard it in years...

The 'paste special' function works. Funny I'd never tried (or even noticed) it before.

...but I swear, 'paste special' sounds like something that should come with a side-order of staples...

Bear, It IS a good copy, and it's nice to have a close-up video so I can learn some technique from it. I play with only my fingers, using the nail of my index-finger as the pick, braced by my thumb. The finger-position is the same as someone holding a pick, but my fingertip protrudes a little further. That's for strumming, and for other sings I use a 'Travis-style picking, alternating thumb and index, middle and ring fingers according to the song.
This video is nice, but thanx to my slow servers here, it took over an hour to fully download.
