well i have little gray lines and the card thinks i have multiple monitors installed i need help i think the tyhese unbearable gray lines are comeing froum so called multyiple monitors what do i do!! ?? plzhelp thx .

You have an integrated video card, *and* an add-on card?
You are seeing which: vertical or horizontal gray lines, they are how thick, and how often do they appear on the screen (whole screen, just a few, some at the top / bottom)?

ok umm no i just upgraded my old card but it is interagated so i just did not worry bout it and just swiched the drivers and cards so it uses this one horazontal linessome are a little thick some arent all over the screen i have tried uninstalling these "multiple monitors" that i dont have........ :hammer3:

it also says im useing "defualt monitor" insted of hp pavilion v70s and the hp one it the secondary one that i guess it thinks im not useing or something.

Find a blank spot on your desktop and right click. Choose properties.
Once this opens, click the 'settings' tab.
Does this show 2 active monitors in the window? (see attachment)

yes thats what it looks like also bear it thinks it is pci and not agp i need to make it know it is agp how do i do that too ?

Secondly, reopen the display properties dialog (see previous post) and disable any monitor that does not exist by removing any check marks from the "extend my desktop" section (see attached), while the monitor is selected in the dialog window. Lastly, make sure that your primary monitor is marked as primary, using the same area in the dialog (see attached again).

all of those optins are grey out it wont let me disable none of it it greyd out...
Do you have more than one display adapter connection port on the back of the computer? Are you sure you're in the right one?

i went into the bios and change the primary display device to agp insted of pci yet it till says my card is in pci slot 1 when its not!! i really dont know what else to do.
Ok, dumb question, but are you sure the card you're using is AGP and not PCI?

card:chaintech XGI volari V3 128 mb dvi drict x 9 64 bit tv out :motherboard sis 650: win xp home.
I've found several references to incompatibility between that motherboard and graphics card. I'd suggest you contact the mobo manufacturer and see if they can verify, or perhaps provide you with updated drivers.

uhh if i disabled it how would i go back to it?
You would reenable it?
Your issue might (and I stress might) be related to your not disabling the old one first. You start by going into the BIOS, and disabling on board video. If this doesn't work, you restart, go into the BIOS and reenable.

oh there is nothing in te bios under advance about that just primary video adapter and it is set t agp...
Then I would have to go back to the suggestion that the card might be incompatable with the motherboard. I'd highly recommend contacting the manufacturer and explaiing the problem, as well as the suspicion it's incompatable to get their input.
