Default arg...

Hey guys welli seem to be having problems with my registry so much that i have to clean install when this happens now while clean installing i get errors like "cannot find netkern.dll" "setup will now terminate" it only works when i run killdisk and then reinstall www.killdisk.com makes a nice boot disk as well when i am installing and actually get it to install when i install my motherbnoard it will restart my computer and say "windows has found a registry error on teh blue screen of death then it restarts in dos and takes the registry back before i install all my stuffs and the via chipset also when i do get it to work for more then an hour without registry errors i get this alexea spyware that was deleted tru spybot each time i clean installl and evreything BUT you see none of this has happend since i got this motherboard should i just retun it and be on with my life? THE WROST BOARD EVER This board sometimes fresses when installing certin stuffs etc etc and im running out of thermal paste !! The board is a win or losses cituation some of em are okay most of em are dead i had to send back 3 bofore i got a working one.

Did you happen to mean "NTKERN.DLL" can't be found (not netkern)?

Now when installing it says: "SWIN has emcounterd an error and needs to close " jeezus what is the matter wit this computer.

EDIT: had to clock ,y processor back to 1.6 i have heard of pepole having windows 98 problems with registry and this motherboard something about the bios being incompatable sooo i have a windows xp home cdkey and the bootdisks IS THERE ANYWAY to install without a cd if you can help please and thanks.

Sorry...internet was down for hours.
Sure the error wasn't SUWIN?

Without a CD? This isn't a case of locating a key on line and installing a less-than-legal version is it?

It is a legel copy i have the cd for 98 but no cd for xp i do have a cdkey for xp and i am working with 98 it is now clean installed for the 813th time .....so far i have not gotten any registry eorrors all this seems to be coming froum the mainboard and overclocking ....well i guess i will have to live with this for now anymore problems and ill be sure t o let you all know....

Since Windows is not a downloadable product, can you explain a bit further? How is it you have a key but no CD?

Long story about the xp cd. i am going to start to tell you about what i mean here first off. what i am trying to say is that i have windows 98 se and the 98 se cd key. but i do not have a windows xp home sp2 cd but i still have the cd key..*hewit packard cd btw so it may neeed some sort of " tatoo"ing or something* Mothers old computer came with an instuctiion boookleet and the cd key. no cd tho i do have windows 98 se and the cd key xp i only have the key froum an old hewit packard computer.
